Biography

Television presenter, documentary film maker  and entrepreneur, Darren Kennedy is one of the UK & Ireland’s most exciting TV presenters, with bags of energy and Irish charm. Born in Dublin, Darren has made a name for himself presenting shows for BBC, ITV, CHANNEL 5 and RTE. 

He was a celebrity contestant on Ireland’s hit show “Dancing with the Stars” and has a background in unscripted development and has created shows such as “The Unemployables”,  “Like A Virgin” and “The Secret Life of Celebrity Pets”. 

Most recently he was part of the on-screen presenting team on BBC One’s Primetime  “You Are What You Wear” as well as being a regular face on ITV’s This Morning.

His first documentary, “Gay Daddy” (developed and authored by Darren) was broadcast to critical acclaim,  trended world-wide on Twitter and described as a watershed moment in Irish TV history.  His series, “The Unemployables,” which he co-devised as well as hosted, was nominated for best new TV format at the European Broadcasting Union Awards. 

He is a sought-after live events host and MC for prestigious events, gala evenings and award ceremonies and has hosted for BAFTA, GQ, British Fashion Council and London Fashion Week. He has collaborated with global brands such as Hugo Boss, Nespresso, La Mer, BMW, and Samsung

In 2018 he established Kennedy & Co, an award-winning skincare and grooming range. Kennedy is a Contributing Editor to Sunday Independent where he writes a weekly column on home interiors and is Men’s Editor at Beverly Hills Lifestyle magazine. 

He holds a first-class honors degree in International Business & Languages and speaks fluent French and conversational Spanish and Portuguese.
